What is “quoted-printable?”

Quoted Printable is a MIME format that allows for more characters than the standard ASCII character set, typically those characters used in non-English text. It does this by encoding these characters into ASCII in strings like “=3D”. In your mail client, those characters are converted back into what you’d expect to see. Most mail clients support QP and in fact, many of them use it by default.
